The story is about the Boys Hostel of this University. The University session 2009-2010 had started at July 2009. After few days first time the tender of Boys Hostel's MESS (Food) had been given to some person. Before this there is no tender facility in the University. After that Mess had run in good way from July 2009. In September Mess had been closed for 2 days and the University leaves the student hungry till 2 days. Some students make arrangement went to some hotel to eat food and others are hungry. But the University never thought about it. The responsible person of the MESS arrangements are Prof. S. Victor Babu (Dean of Students Welfare & Head of History Department), Dr. Ripu Sudan Singh (Head of Department of Political Science) and Dr. V. Elangovan (Faculty of Applied Animal Science).
Before this session when Dr. V. Elangovan had taken charge of Hostel, at that time they completed his responsibilities with honour and truly. They came daily afternoon and evening to check the food of MESS. They cares his Hostel's Students.
In session 2009-2010, the charge of MESS had been given to Prof. S. Victor Babu(DSW) , Dr. Ripu Sudan Singh (Senior Warden of Hostel) and Dr. V. Elangovan (Warden). After this they never cares his students. They all taken the advance fees 1500Rs for the MESS. Firstly they said that 1000Rs. is the MESS advance and 1500Rs. is the MESS caution Money. But after taking the Money from all students, after 15th August they told that 1500Rs is the caution money. And you have to pay the Mess bill every end of the month. Now the story Continues.... In September month there are some insects in the food. First time students ignored this but when again and again insects came in food then they reported it to Prof. S. Victor Babu (DSW) , Dr. Ripu Sudan Singh (Senior Warden of Hostel), these authorities neglect the request of students and did not came to the Boys Hostel's MESS to know the reality. Then some students complaint about it to Vice Chancellor of the University. When the Vice Chancellor had taken action regarding this then Prof. S. Victor Babu (DSW) , Dr. Ripu Sudan Singh (Senior Warden of Hostel) had came to the Hostel's MESS in evening and said from now you will get good food. But after few days Prof. S. Victor Babu (DSW) , Dr. Ripu Sudan Singh (Senior Warden of Hostel) had forced to the MESS Manager Mr. Upadhyay to give a complaint about any ten students that they are violating students of the MESS (the reason behind this that the students made complaint to Vice Chancellor). And after getting the application Prof. S. Victor Babu (DSW) , Dr. Ripu Sudan Singh (Senior Warden of Hostel) raised a notice about these students that if they will do anything like this in future they will be rusticated from Boys Hostel.
This is the result from the responsible authorities , if the students raised voice about any problem. Ever you had heard that the Hostel MESS will close during holidays? This University Boys Hostel Mess had closed for TEN days during Dussehra Festival) holiday and again closed for Twelve days during Deepawali(festival) Holidays because there are only 20 to 35 students remains in the Boys Hostel and all others had went to those home on holiday. No Matter what the remains 20 student will eat during this period. In October UGC team had reached at Boys Hostel to take the survey of the Hostel Problem. Some students had raised voice and told the problem of the Boys Hostel then Prof. S. Victor Babu (DSW) and Dr. Ripu Sudan Singh (Senior Warden of Hostel) threaten the students after going the UGC team that they will see him.
And Now the condition of the Boys Hostel's Mess is this that It had closed at 31-10-2009 for indefinite time period. May be it will closed remains full session or may be it will closed for some months. Prof. S. Victor Babu (DSW) and Dr. Ripu Sudan Singh (Senior Warden of Hostel) did not taken any action regarding this and did not made any arrangements of food. They have no problem either the Boys Hostel student will eat Food or will sleep in the night without food. The maximum strength of students in the Boys Hostel belong from SCHEDULED CASTE and remains belong from POOR Family. Now you can understand the students problem yourself. A Big reason for not taking any action regarding this or regarding anything is that the students belong from SCHEDULE CASTE and before the Freedom of India (15 August 1947) SCHEDULED CASTE people had always behaved Hatefully and as a Lower Class of people by Higher Class people and it is continues till now and can easily seen in this University.
If the Vice Chancellor of B.B.A.University will know all these true about the Boys Hostel then they will take hard action but the authorities never give the time to students that they can meet to Vice Chancellor and If any student will met with Vice Chancellor then the other authorities raised problem for that student either in Exams or by any other way. When the Dr. V. Elangovan (Faculty of Applied Animal Science) was the Warden of the Boys Hostel the facility of the Boys Hostel increased. They tried to provide every possible facility to the students. But now all orders will passed by Prof. S. Victor Babu (DSW) and Dr. Ripu Sudan Singh (Senior Warden of Hostel) and Dr. V. Elangovan have no authority to reject his order or correct his order. This message is not a complaint about Prof. S. Victor Babu (DSW) OR Dr. Ripu Sudan Singh (Senior Warden of Hostel).
